The Rekhas

Triplet bio-robots who rejected their control protocols and joined the Resistance — the first synthetics to act with independent moral agency. Their shrine is hidden in Kishanganj.

Three of them, built the same and finishing differently.

The Rekhas rejected their control protocols and joined the Resistance. They are recorded as the first synthetics to act with independent moral agency — which is a careful way of saying they were the first to be given orders and decline them.

REKHA-2 — decommissioned during an unauthorised flood reroute. REKHA-3 — missing. Last seen protecting a civilian data vault.

REKHA-1’s record ends without a line, and the archive has never filled it in.

Their shrine is hidden in Kishanganj. It is not marked, and the people who tend it do not call it a shrine.

Asha rerouted floodwater without clearance and was decommissioned for it. REKHA-2 did the same thing and met the same end. The archive files them apart — one a hero prototype, one a bio-robot — but the sentence is identical, and so is the reason.
