Archive annexure

Reader Fiction

The book covers one girl, one search, and about a year. The world is older and wider than that — decommissioned prototypes, bio-robots with shrines nobody marks, thirty years of a librarian's life before Sumati walked in. If you want to write in it, this is the door.

Nothing here yet. The first piece will be somebody's.

There is no bar to clear beyond writing something and sending it. Short is fine. A single scene is fine. The archive is made of fragments — that is the premise.

Send a piece

Everything is read by a person before it appears. Expect a reply either way.

Used only to reply about your piece.

Anywhere in the world, any year. It does not have to touch the novel's plot.

Anything a reader should know before starting. Optional.

Paste it in full, or paste a link if it lives somewhere else.

The short version of the rules

  • You keep everything you write. Publishing here is permission to host it, nothing more, and it comes down whenever you ask.
  • Credit goes as you give it — real name, handle, or a link to wherever you'd rather readers land.
  • Sumati is fourteen. Nothing sexual involving her or any other child, in any framing.
  • No hate directed at real groups. The book has a politics; work that inverts it into cruelty is not a reading, it is a different book.
  • Write your own sentences. Reworked chapters of the novel, or anything a machine generated and you did not shape, are not what this is for.
  • It does not have to be canon-compliant. Contradict the book if the story is better for it — the archive already contradicts itself in places.
