Keeping an archive after the institutions have gone is not librarianship. It is deciding, every day, what is worth the risk of holding — and being the person who has to say no.
The other Prahlad
The hero files carry the name too. In the entry on Vikram, Prahlad is an early state-designed prototype who refused to displace coastal communities and was decommissioned for it, alongside Asha.
The archive has never been able to establish whether that is this man. Records from either side of the Disclosures rarely survive in matching pairs, and a common name is exactly the kind of thing that does not resolve. It is left unmerged here on purpose: collapsing two people into one because it makes a better story is the failure mode this whole archive exists to avoid.
